LESSON OF THE DAY 993

Ayahs of the Day:
Don't they know God expands one's provision at will, and imposes limits? Surely there are signs in that for people who believe. Say, "O My devotees who have transgressed against their own souls! Do not despair of God's mercy, for God forgives all sins! Indeed God is the epitome of forgiveness and mercy! And turn to your Lord, and surrender thereunto, before the torment comes upon you, after which you will not be helped. [39: 52,53,54]

Hadith of the Day:
No man loves another for the sake of God without his Lord honoring him. [Tirmidhi]

Wise Quote of the Day:
Faith is strengthened by thanksgiving for graces, endurance under trial, and contentment with the Divine decree. [Shaykh Abul Hasan al Shadhili]

Guidance of the Day:
Suffering is born of wrong thinking. The root of pain is error in perception. There can be no error in Truth, only errors in the perception of Truth. If you yearn to end human suffering, know, then, what is Real, for this Knowledge is the only source of invincible faith.

To see the world rightly, you must look from the viewpoint of immortality. This is the only perspective that can bring meaning to a meaningless life. Thoughts of mortality are the only veils that can shield the Truth from view. The Real is your only salvation. Nothing other than the Real can ever bring you the Peace that you seek. Acknowledge God, and welcome your self. [Cohen, The Dragon Doesn't Live Here Anymore]

Food for Thought:
Family means sharing inadequacies, imperfections and feelings with each other and still loving each other. Human beings have the rare capacity to connect with one another, against all odds.
