Ayahs of the Day:
By the mountain and by a written Book in a spread open scroll, and by the populated house and by the roof raised high and by the brimming sea, the punishment of your Lord will surely come about. None can avert it on the day when the sky sways in agitation and the mountains go into motion: [52: 1 to 10]

Hadith of the Day:
Every faith has an innate character. The character of Islam is modesty. [Muwatta]

Wise Quote of the Day:
Never consider sin to be small. Regard sin as great. He who thinks slightly of sin has considered Allah to be insignificant. [Mawlana Ashraf Ali Thanwi]

Guidance of the Day:
The miracle is that each of us really can save the world. Indeed, we must, for what else of value is there to be done? Since there is no order of difficulty in miracles, our desire to save the world must be within our reach. And since the task of our physically maneuvering the world and its people into harmony is unthinkable, there must be some other way.

That way is the way of Spirit, the way of God, the way of Love, which is not confined to time or to space. When we align our hearts and minds with the intentions of Godly Love, we are joining the forces of that power, indeed the only power that can redeem humankind. We have found the only avenue of action that can have any real effect. We have aligned our intentions with Him whose intention is salvation. [Cohen, The Dragon Doesn't Live Here Anymore]

Food for Thought:
Anxiety is the great modern plague, but faith can cure it. Worry is interest paid on trouble before it comes due. Real difficulties can be overcome, it is only the imaginary ones that are unconquerable. Worry is the only insupportable misfortune of life. What worries you, masters you.
