LESSON OF THE DAY 904

Ayah of the Day:
If you could only see when the sinners are bowing their heads to their Lord: "Our Lord, we have seen and we have heard, so send us back and we'll make amends, for we are sure." [32: 12]

Hadith of the Day:
Fear in your hearts the punishment of God when you repeat my words unless you are absolutely sure that I said those words. [Tirmidhi]

Wise Quote of the Day:
Relying upon the promise of "tomorrow," many people have wandered around that door, but that tomorrow never comes. [Mawlana Rumi]

Guidance of the Day:
Open your heart and your mind to a new understanding of prayer. The purpose of prayer is to help you make the journey from point A to point B and to become the-best-version-of-yourself, which indeed is the purpose of life. Prayer is difficult. But those who learn to master prayer come to master themselves, and those who come to master themselves become the instruments of tremendous good and are able to master every other human activity.

Everything good comes from knowing and living in the will of God. We are created for a purpose. There is a plan for each of us----a divine blue print------a mission. That plan perfectly intertwines our talents, our legitimate needs, and our deepest desires-----to bring about this perfect harmony among body, heart, mind, and spirit. In following that plan, we find peace and prosperity, freedom and fulfillment. We may, of course, reject this plan, this blue print, this mission. And there lies the mystery of freedom and love. [Kelly, The Rhythm of Life]

Food for Thought:
Lord grant me the Serenity
To accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.
