LESSON OF THE DAY 843

Ayah of the Day:
And who is more wrong than one who fabricates a lie against God, and repudiates truth when it comes to him? Is there not an abode in hell for the ingrates. [29: 68]

Hadith of the Day:
The one who loves this world loses the Hereafter; the one who is concerned with the Hereafter loses interest in this world. I hope you choose the lasting over the passing. [Ahmad]

Wise Quote of the Day:
Your postponement of deeds till the time when you are free is one of the frivolities of the ego. [Ibn Ataillah]

Guidance of the Day:
Have complete control over your mental and physical faculties and do not be a slave to neither food, nor drink, nor any other substance. Be free, that you will have freedom in the truest sense of the word----the strength of character to do what is right in each situation. You should be able to discern the people, activities, and possessions that are most important to you. And give each of them their time and place according to their appropriate priority.

Have the courage, determination, firmness, and persistence to perform the tasks that you choose, decide, and resolve to perform. Perform them with a commitment to excellence and attention to detail. Discover a unique talent that leads you to dedicate the professional aspect of your life to some work you can be passionate about. Enjoy the rare privilege of spending your days in meaningful work. That you serve your neighbor, your family, and your community in this occupation and that by it, you are able to provide for your temporal needs. [Kelly, The Rhythm of Life]

Food for Thought:
Appreciate beauty, and you will be beautiful.
Admire creativity, and you will be creative.
Love, and you will be loved.
