LESSON OF THE DAY 838

Ayah of the Day:
And if you asked them who created the heavens and the earth and made the sun and moon work, they would surely say God------how then are they deceived? [29: 61]

Hadith of the Day:
Generosity is a tree whose roots are in Paradise. The generous person is held at one of its branches and he stays there until he is pulled into Paradise. [Dar-i Kutni]

Wise Quote of the Day:
The reality of thankfulness is to obey Allah with all your limbs, in private and in public. [Ibn Abbas radi Allah anhu]

Guidance of the Day:
Commitment is the logical and natural response that follows from an understanding of our purpose. Everything in our lives is either pursued or rejected according to whether or not it will help us, and others, fulfill what we perceive as purpose. Someone who makes money his goal in life accepts or rejects everything according to whether or not it will help him achieve that goal.

Someone who makes pleasure the goal of his life accepts or rejects everything according to whether or not it will help him achieve his goal. In the absence of a genuine understanding of the meaning and purpose of our lives, we substitute it with shallow and superficial meaning. The human person cannot live without meaning and purpose. Why is depression so dramatically on the rise? I cannot imagine anything more depressing than not having any sense of the meaning and purpose of your own life. [The Rhythm of Life]

Food for Thought:
As you make your bed, so you must lie in it. Life is what we make it. Always has been. Always will be. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.
