LESSON OF THE DAY 194

Ayahs of the Day:
(Satan said): "Then I will come at them from in front of them, and from behind them, on their right and on their left. You will not find that most of them are grateful." (Allah) said: "Get out of here, despised, rejected! I will fill Hell with all of those who follow you."[7: 17,18]

Hadith of the Day:
By Allah, it is not poverty that I fear for you. But I fear that the world will be spread out before you as it was for the people before you. Then you shall compete in it as the people before you competed in it and it shall destroy you as it destroyed them. [Bukhari & Muslim]

Wise Quote of the Day:
The one who adorns his inward with vigilance and sincerity, God adorns his outward with striving and following the sunnah. [Al Harith al Muhasibi]

Guidance of the Day:
Know that the one who claims to have a thriving inward but whose outward has been corrupted by his abandoning outward acts of obedience is a pretender and a liar.

The one who exerts himself in the reform of his outward aspect by caring about the way he dresses and appears, speaks, moves, sits, stands, and walks, but leaves his inward full of repellent attributes and vile traits, is one of the people of affection and ostentation, who have turned away from the Lord.

Beware, of doing in secret that which if seen by people would make you ashamed and worried about being censured. If you cannot make your inward better than your outward, the least that you can do is to make them equal, so that you behave equally well privately and publicly in obeying God's injunctions, avoiding his prohibitions, respecting what He has made sacred, and hastening to please Him. This is the first step a servant takes on the path of special knowledge. Success is from God. [The Book of Assistance]

Food for Thought:
Patience is the companion of wisdom. To be satisfied with a little, is the greatest wisdom and he who increases his riches increases his cares, but a contented mind is a treasure hidden.
