Pearls of Wisdom....171

1. The night is long, so do not shorten it with (extra) sleep; and the day is bright, so do not obscure it with your sins. [Yahya ibn Mu'adh]

2. God will say to the people of Garden; "Enter the Garden through My mercy; dwell therein perpetually by your good intentions; and take your shares of it by your works. [Hasan al Basri]

3. Deeds without sincerity are like a traveler who carries in his water-jug dirt. The carrying of it burdens him and it brings no benefit. [Ibn al Qayyim]

4. Darkness is not dispelled by fighting it, but rather by spreading the light, when light comes out, darkness recedes. [Mufti Rafi Osmani]

5. The key to change is sincere, true repentance, to realize that the next life is better and everlasting. [Shaykh Faraz Rabbani]

6. The key to change is to take the means to distance oneself from the ways of harm, this requires seeking good company and leaving bad company. [Shaykh Faraz Rabbani]

8. Stories are a soldier from the soldiers of Allah, with them Allah strengthens the hearts of His friends and chosen ones. [Shaykh al Jonayd]

9. The one who adorns his inward with vigilance and sincerity, God adorns his outward with striving and following the Sunnah. [Al Harith al Muhasibi]

10. There is no helper save God, no guide save the Messenger of God, no provision save taqwa, and no work save patience. [Sahl al Tustari]
