LESSON OF THE DAY 822

Ayahs of the Day:
And those who struggle strive only for their own souls; for God is independent of all worlds. And those who believe and do good works, We will pardon their evils, and We will reward them for the best of what they were doing. [29: 6,7]

Hadith of the Day:
Do not rejoice at the misery of your brother. For if you do, Allah will give him well-being, and try you with calamities. [Tirmidhi]

Wise Quote of the Day:
It is not in the make-up of a noble person to delay in rewarding nor is it that of a generous one to exact revenge. [Ali radi Allah anhu]

Guidance of the Day:
You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The world is a match for you, and you are a match for the world. When you fully recognize your challenges, your gifts, and your individual reality, and you accept the life path they represent, the world provides whatever you need to succeed. You, in turn, will discover how you can make your greatest contribution to the world. When you claim authorship of your life story, the world responds, and genius ignites. The challenge is to create and own your own reality. The first moment you are able to do this is an awakening of sorts, since it means the demise of your unconscious life.

When you begin to live your life understanding that what you make of it is up to you, you are able to design it according to your authentic choices and desires. You will learn lessons with this Rule, such as responsibility, release, courage, power, and adventure, that will lead you to the life you were meant to live. These lessons provide you with the essential tools you need in order to take command of your life. [Scott, If Life is a Game, These are the Rules]

Food for Thought:
For anything worth having one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love, self-sacrifice. Where quality is the thing sought after, the thing of supreme quality is cheap, whatever the price one has to pay for it.
