LESSON OF THE DAY 821

Ayahs of the Day:
Do evildoers think they can outrun Me? There judgment is bad! For whoever looks forward to meeting with God, the appointed time of God is sure to arrive; and God is all-hearing, all-knowing. [29: 4,5]

Hadith of the Day:
Allah gives His promise and honor to the one who forgives and the one who behaves humbly for the sake of Allah, and generosity never decreases anyone's riches. [Tirmidhi]

Wise Quote of the Day:
The fearful one is not one who weeps and wipes his eyes; on the contrary he is the one who abandons whatever he fear will bring him punishment. [al-Qushayri]

Guidance of the Day:
Every person creates his or her own reality. Authorship of your life is one of your absolute rights; yet so often people deny that they have the ability to script the life they desire. They often use the excuse that they cannot do what they want to do or get what they desire in life because they lack the resources to do it. They look past the fundamental truth that it is not our external resources that determine our success or failure, but rather our own belief in ourselves and our willingness to create a life according to our highest aspirations.

You can either engage in the blame game, making frequent use of the statement, "I couldn't because......" or you can take control of your life and shape it as you would like. You can either let your circumstances, be they your physical appearance, your financial condition, or your family origins, dictate what happens to you, or you can transcend your perceived limitations and make extraordinary things happen. The "yeah, buts....." do not produce results----they just reinforce the delusion of inability. Argue for your limitations and eventually the universe will agree with you and respond accordingly. [Scott, If Life is a Game, These are the Rules]

Food for Thought:
Worry gives a small thing a big shadow. It is not work that kills men; it is worry. The reason why worry kills more people than work is that more people worry than work. There is nothing that wastes the body like worry, and one who has any faith in God should be ashamed to worry about anything whatsoever.
