LESSON OF THE DAY 94

Ayahs of the Day:
He who kills a Believer intentionally, his reward is Hell forever, and the wrath and curse of Allah are upon him, and for him He has prepared a dreadful penalty. [4: 93]

Hadith of the Day:
A man came to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and requested him: "Messenger of Allah, tell me something by doing which, I should win the love of Allah and the people." The Holy Prophet told him: "Do not love the world, and Allah will love you; and do not have a longing for that which people have, and they will love you." [Ibn Majah]

Wise Quote of the Day:
Islam is not just a religion, Islam is everything. [Yusuf Islam]

Guidance of the Day:
The well-known civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. said that in order for people to condemn injustice, they must go through four stages. The fist stage is that people must ascertain that there are injustices being perpetrated. The second stage is to negotiate, that is approach the oppressor and demand justice.

If the oppressor refuses, the third stage is self purification, which starts with the questions: "Are we ourselves wrong doers? Are we ourselves oppressors?" The fourth stage, then, is to take action after true self examination, after removing one's own wrongs before demanding justice from others. This is what we have to recognize: we need to purify ourselves. [Purification of the Heart]

Food for Thought:
Learn all you can from the mistakes of others. You won't have time to make them all yourself.
